About Chakr Innovation
Founded in 2016 by a team of young IITians, Chakr Innovation is a leading cleantech and material science company on a mission to fight air pollution through transformative technologies.
We developed India’s first type-approved Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD)- a patented solution that helps businesses and institutions comply with regulations set by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), and State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs).
Our flagship product, Chakr Shield, reduces harmful emissions from diesel generators by up to 90%, enabling a compliance-friendly and cost-effective pathway to cleaner operations. Complementing this, Chakr Dual Fuel Kit 2.0 reduces diesel consumption by enabling generators to run on a diesel–natural gas mix, while Chakr DeNOx addresses harmful NOx emissions from diesel and gas engines.
Beyond generator emissions, Chakr DeSmog provides automated dust suppression for construction and industrial sites to reduce PM₂.₅ and PM₁₀ levels, and the Chakr Emission Monitoring System offers real-time, CPCB-compliant monitoring solutions including OCEMS, CEMS, and CAAQMS to ensure continuous compliance and transparency.

Chakr Innovation installed a Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) on a 380 kVA diesel generator at Indian Railways, Hubli Station in 2020, achieving significant reductions in particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons.
